The original artwork is captured through a professional direct digital scan, or a professionally provided color transparency (4 x 5 or 8 x 10). In order to receive the "Tru Giclee®" certification, the artwork must be professionally captured (by direct digital scan) using our closed system technology. If a transparency is used, the Tru Giclee® certification cannot be issued.
If you have a digital file made by an outside source (other than Custom Creations) it must be in tif. format (RGB). Any digital files must have a minimum of 300 dpi at 100% of the final output image size. In addition, your original artwork or an accurate color matching print will need to be provided to use as a color reference. For the highest quality image we recommend working from your original artwork and using our direct scan process.
We like our artists to be closely involved in the process and to review every proof carefully. Proofs are produced at no cost (not to exceed a quantity of 2) on the same substrate that is used for the prints.
There are no setup fees or upfront charges. Your cost is determined by your selected image size and quantity of the image you wish to produce. It is our goal to make our Tru Giclees® accessible, with an non-intimidating cost point.
